TAP networking event in Albania draws interest from over 110 potential subcontractors

26 January 2015

Tirana, Albania. In light of the contract award for the construction of the onshore pipeline and the compressor stations on 19 January, 2015 the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) facilitated a B2B supplier networking event in Tirana, Albania. The event was organised in cooperation with the Albanian Association of Constructors and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tirana and brought together 110 companies offering services and supplies from a wide range of sectors. The event was open to all companies that had expressed interest in attending.

The event was intended as a platform where TAP’s pre-qualified Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) contractors and potential sub-contractors in Albania that offer specialised support services, such as materials supply, logistics, facility management, etc., came together to explore potential common synergies. The tenderers shared short presentations of their business answered questions and held discussions with the participating companies.

TAP representatives also gave a presentation on project’s procurement approach with an overview of the upcoming processes. Once again it was emphasised that participation in the various TAP networking events did not guarantee a contract with TAP or with any of the tenderers and would not have any influence on TAP’s procurement process.
