Every day TAP and its contractors engage with hundreds of local communities along the pipeline route in Greece, Albania and Italy. We would like to share some reports about our field work and tell you about our encounters with people we meet.
TAP Delivers 4 Snowploughs to Western Macedonia

TAP continues implementing its programme DESTINATION, SAFETY | Donation of Utility Vehicles, with the delivery of four more snowploughs to the Region of Western Macedonia.
Region of Eastern Macedonia-Thrace Received 6 Snowploughs from TAP

The six snowploughs are all-wheel-drive multi-purpose vehicles. Apart from snowploughs and salt spreaders, they combine the properties of lawn mowing, branch cutting and pruning machinery.
TAP Provides Aid to Fier Farmers Impacted by Floods
19 December 2017
On 14 and 15 December, TAP provided 200 tonnes of animal feed to farmers in the Municipality of Fier, Albania, which had been impacted by November floods.
Journey back in Time, to the Ice Age

On 13 December, a window in time opened in Drama. An admittedly large and… frozen window taking young and old visitors thousands and thousands of years back in time.
TAP Helps Clean the Osumi River
18 December 2017
On December 15 and 16, TAP joined the Ministry of Tourism and Environment in cleaning the debris along the Osumi River. The initiative also included deepening the river bed to prevent floods.
«Marine Litter»: TAP and CoNISMa Work Together to Protect the Beaches of Salento

CoNISMa completed a six-month study of marine litter in Salento. The research, supported by TAP, aims to protect the beaches and raise awareness on the issue of marine litter.
7,000+ Students Attend Safety Trainings Sponsored by TAP

TAP and the Albanian Council of Road Safety (ACRS) held a round table to discuss the results of the safety programme focused on students & communities along the pipeline route in Albania.
TAP Improves Another Road Segment in Fier
4 December 2017
TAP rehabilitated the road connecting the Sektor-Seman motorway with the surrounding villages and Fier. The upgraded 4.2 km road will serve over 3,000 residents in the area.
TAP Supports Road Safety Week in Albania

TAP joined the road safety awareness week, initiative which aims to make drivers, pedestrians and other road users more aware and careful. The Road Safety Week started on 19 November.
TAP Donates Equipment to the Association of the Blind of Eastern Macedonia

Implemented in collaboration with the Social Solidarity Network, the donation consists of ten Perkins Braille typewriters, two multi-functional devices, a computer and an air conditioner.
Forest Management Studies underway in Nestorio, greatly supporting local employment

Information relating to the development of the forest studies was relayed to the Presidents of seven local forest cooperatives, in a meeting held at the Municipality in mid-November.
TAP Unveils Ancient Building Complex in Albania

During pipeline construction works, TAP discovered a building complex spanning various historical stages. The site includes structures from the 6th century to the 17th – 18th centuries.
First TAP Turbo Compressors Delivered in Greece

The first gas turbine turbo compressor units to be installed in TAP’s compressor station near Kipoi have been delivered to site via the Port of Piraeus, Athens.
TAP Supports the 18th Hellenic Forestry Congress & International Workshop

TAP presented the project progress in Greece, as well as its reforestation activities to be implemented in two phases, starting from Alexandroupolis, Soufli, Rhodope and Serres.
TAP Supports the Kavala Hellenic Rescue Team (HRT) by Donating Rescue Equipment

The equipment includes climbing ropes, helmets, stretchers and climbing equipment – essential in mountain rescue operations- transistors and a water pump.
120 People Enrol in TAP Academy

TAP offers another round of free English, IT & social media marketing courses for people in Lecce. The initiative, TAP Academy, is part of TAP’s €12 million SEI programme in Italy.
TAP Supports Traditional Products Fair in Skrapar

The traditional products fair of Skrapar allowed farmers and producers from the area to present and promote their products. This is the sixth year when the fair is organised.

Swiss Officials Visit TAP Site in Albania

On 12 September, the Swiss Confederation Director for Economic Cooperation and Development in SECO and the Swiss Ambassador to Albania visited a TAP construction site in Berat.
TAP Supported 12’000+ Families in Receiving Landownership Certificates in Albania

The cadastre update process started by Trans Adriatic Pipeline in 2013 has helped more than 12,000 families along the pipeline’s route in Albania to receive landownership certificates.
TAP Responds to Wildfire Emergency in Albania

TAP will donate 600 backpack fire extinguishers and 100 fire-retardant uniforms to firefighters in rescue operations. TAP will also help purchase all terrain fire engines and ambulances.
Road Safety Awareness Campaign in Albania

TAP kicked off a radio campaign, calling on drivers to be more careful while behind the wheel. Albania's high number of road accidents remains a concern, especially during the summer.

TAP Trains & Hires Pipeline Welding Inspectors in Albania

TAP Supported the "School-meals for Schoolchildren" Programme in Kavala

During 2016-2017 ~90,000 hot meals were provided to 1,183 students in the city of Kavala and the Kavala Municipality communities of Krinides, Filippoi, Zygos and Amygdalenoas.
TAP Completes Construction of New Road

Working with the Devoll Municipality, TAP completed the construction of a 3-kilometre new road which enables access to the metering station under construction near Vishocica, Albania.
TAP Facilitates Beach Access for Persons with Disabilities

TAP helped build a ramp allowing people with disabilities to access the beach of Avdira, Greece. TAP also donated machinery for coastline cleaning. The total investment amounts to €100,000.

An Energy Project Supporting Cooperation, Stability & Growth

TAP Uncovers Ancient Settlement near Korçë

According to preliminary assessments, this is an open-air settlement spanning from the early Iron Age (10th – 9th centuries BC) to the late Roman period (4th – 6th centuries AD).

TAP Continues to Upgrade Roads in Albania

In February 2017 TAP concluded the refurbishment works for another 8 km road segment, connecting approximately 3,000 residents from three villages to the city of Fier.

On 13 February 2017, TAP officially handed over the €22,500 donation to the Athina & Lazaros Rizos nursing home in Kastoria. The amount was used to replace door & window frames.
