Commercial and External Affairs Director
Ulrike Andres was appointed Commercial and External Affairs Director of TAP in September 2016. Ulrike joined TAP from the Transalpine Pipeline Group – Europe’s largest pipeline company transporting crude oil from Trieste to eight central European refineries – where she was President and Chief Executive Officer for over five years. Prior to this, Ulrike held a multitude of senior positions working for Shell, SHV Holdings and Primagaz Austria amongst others. Ulrike was President of the European LPG Association between 2009 and 2011.
Human Resources Director
Jonathan joined TAP as Human Resources Director in January 2016. Jonathan previously worked for BG Group where he held the position of Human Resources Director for Europe Central Asia and Africa Middle East and Asia Regions as well as Human Resources responsibility for Global Finance. Prior to this, Jonathan held a number of senior strategic and operational human resources positions across diverse sectors and industries including financial services, hospitality, retail, media and energy. Jonathan is a qualified human resources professional with over 25 years experience. He holds a business studies honours degree and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development.
John Haynes was appointed Project Director of TAP in January 2017. John joins TAP from BP with more than 25 years of international experience as major project leader. He held several executive management roles including in the USA, Abu Dhabi and Azerbaijan. During his last assignment in Azerbaijan, John was Project General Manager, leading the delivery of Shah Deniz 2 onshore gas processing facilities up to handover to operations. John holds a First Class Bachelor of Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering & Mathematics.
Ricardo Ruiz Nuñez
Ricardo Ruiz Nuñez joined TAP as Operations Director in September 2017. Ricardo has almost 20 years of experience in the management, development and implementation of operational strategies, working for various Enagás facilities throughout his career. Ricardo joined TAP from Compañia Operadora de Gas del Amazonas in Peru, where he was Chief Operations Officer since 2015. Ricardo also worked as Asset Manager for the LNG Terminal Altamira in Mexico, and held various managerial positions at the LNG Terminal in Barcelona between 2002-2011. Before working as Process Operator at the Huelva LNG Terminal between 2000-2002, Ricardo was a University Professor at the University of Huelva.
Walter Peeraer was appointed President of TAP in June 2017. Walter joins TAP as the former Managing Director and Board Member of Fluxys S.A, the Belgian-based European gas transmission assets management company. Within Fluxys, Peeraer held various senior positions, including Chief Executive Officer of Fluxys Belgium. Previously, Walter served as General Manager of Strategy, Communications and Administration of Electrabel SA, Director-General of Eni Gas & Power NV (Distrigas S.A.), Director of Swedegas AB, as well as Director of Elia System Operator SA. Walter holds degrees in Law and Criminology from Université catholique de Louvain and in tax science from Université libre de Bruxelles.
Luca Schieppati joined TAP as Managing Director in June 2017. Luca has over 25 years of experience in the development and management of pipelines, plant construction, and the operation and maintenance of gas transmission and distribution companies in Italy and Europe. Throughout his career, Luca held several executive management roles, including Chief Executive Officer of Italgas, between April 2014 and September 2016. His most recent positions were chief industrial assets officer of Snam as well as managing director at Snam Rete Gas S.p.A. Luca holds a degree in Nuclear Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Milan.
