Shippers

TAP transports gas from its eastbound entry point (interconnection point) of Kipoi (with TANAP) via Greece (Komotini and Nea Mesimvria) and Albania (Fier, Roskovec and Kucove) to Italy (Melendugno). This is TAP’s forward flow.

About 10 bcma of TAP’s capacity in the forward flow has been booked based on long-term gas transportation agreements. A further 5% of the initial capacity will be offered through auctions of different standard short-term forward capacity products according to Regulation (EU) 2017/459/EC and the TAP Network Code.

Forward flow capacity shall be offered at the following interconnection points:

• Kipoi (TAP/TANAP)
• Komotini (TAP/ ICGB)
• Nea Mesimvria (TAP/DESFA)
• Roskovec (TAP/TBC)
• Melendugno (TAP/Snam Rete Gas).

Other than at Kipoi, to the extent that capacity is available on both sides of that interconnection point, capacity shall be offered as bundled.

As of October 2026, none of the exit points in Albania has any operational infrastructure downstream of TAP.

In accordance with Table A - Appendix 2 of the TAP Network Code, Each Interconnection Point in the TAP Transportation System is listed in the table below together with its designation as an Entry Point or an Exit Point in relation to Forward Capacity in the Forward IP Direction, its EIC code, the distance from the easternmost Entry Point and westernmost Exit Point and the Minimum Flow Rate.

The following Table A has been updated on the 30th of September 2026.

** Capacity at the interconnection points at Kuçovë and Fier will be made available in Market Tests and in regular auctions to the extent capacity is available with the Adjacent TSO.

*** Any operational connecting downstream infrastructure can be expected to be the responsibility of a connecting Transmission System Operator.

TAP also offers commercial reverse capacity for the following routes in accordance with Appendix 2 / Table B of the TAP Network Code.

The Interconnection Points listed in the table below are designated as Entry Points and Exit Points in relation to Commercial Reverse Capacity.

Commercial Reverse Capacity may be booked in the following combinations of Interconnection Points as an Entry Point and an Exit Point. Some Interconnection Points may be either an Entry Point or an Exit Point depending on the particular Commercial Reverse Route, as set out in the table below.

* Commercial Reverse Route 3 consists of the route from Nea Mesimvria to Komotini. On and from the NM Bidirectionality Date, Nea Mesimvria will be bidirectional, allowing for the booking of firm forward entry capacity which can be combined with firm forward exit capacity at Komotini. Accordingly, on and from the NM Bidirectionality Date, Commercial Reverse Route 3 will not be available.

** Capacity for any Commercial Reverse Route that includes an Interconnection Point at Kuçovë or Fier will be made available only to the extent capacity is available with the Adjacent TSO. The Transporter makes no representation as to the availability of transportation services in the Reverse IP Direction by any Adjacent TSO

Parties wishing to book capacity need to become a TAP registered party – as specified in Section 3.1 of the TAP Network Code.

Registered parties are able to purchase a range of capacity products. Upon booking a capacity product, the registered party agrees to the Gas Transportation Agreement and becomes a TAP shipper. 

Long-term capacity products, exceeding one-year, are offered through a Market Test at least every two years. Multi-annual products, when available, can be booked on auctions via the PRISMA capacity booking platform. 

TAP facilitates the trading of reserved capacity on the secondary market. Terms and conditions for acquiring capacity on the secondary market are specified in Section 7 of the TAP Network Code.
