European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) Certification

The European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme (EMAS) is a management tool available to companies and other organisations to help them improve, assess, and report on their environmental performance. The system has been in operation since 1995.

Organisations that take a proactive approach to environmental challenges continuously seek to enhance their performance in environmental protection. EMAS is the leading environmental management tool available for this purpose.

EMAS is a voluntary tool accessible to any type of organisation that wishes to:

• Improve its environmental and financial performance;
• Communicate its achievements in this field to stakeholders and society at large.

TAP Italia obtained EMAS certification on July 12, 2024, and in 2025 it was renewed until June 2028.
