Open Season

A procedure used to improve access to transport capacity in pipeline projects. It is generally used for new pipeline, LNG or gas storage projects in situations when regulation requires these projects to offer transportation services to the market and third parties not involved in the project and to do so in a transparent way. It can also be used as a mean of gathering information about potential interest in the project and provide an indication to project’s sponsors on how and when to expand the project.
