Overview of key commitments

Entrusted with developing one of the most important energy infrastructure projects in Europe, TAP is committed to adhering to best industry practice.

These include compliance with the benchmark European Bank of Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) guidelines, as well as other international, national and European Union regulations.

We are also committed to protecting the environment, to safety and to communities living near the pipeline. TAP operates a safety-first, zero-harm policy.

Drawing on a wealth of technical and operational know-how, our efforts will also be guided by our commitment to sustainable development.

TAP is engaging openly, proactively and respectfully with all of our stakeholders and has integrated their views into the project wherever possible during its development.

Our commitment to the future is symbolised by TAP’s role in opening the Southern Gas Corridor, and its important contribution to the development of countries and neighbouring communities along the pipeline's route.

To the environment

TAP’s commitment to the environment is at the very heart of this pioneering project.

To the local community & civil society

TAP is committed to engaging openly, proactively and respectfully with all the communities along its route.

To health and safety

TAP’s commitment to health and safety recognises that the project has a duty of care to its host communities, workforce, and shareholders.

To the future

TAP’s commitment to the future ranges from its pioneering role in opening the Southern Gas Corridor into Europe to its contributions to the development of the host countries and communities along its route.
