TAP Italy Q&A re: Olive Tree Removal

To avoid any impact on the San Foca beach, TAP is building a 1.5km micro-tunnel. This state-of-the-art engineering minimises environmental impact and renders the pipeline invisible. To start building the micro-tunnel – at a site approximately 800m inland from the beach – TAP, as a first step, needs to move and store 231 olive trees, which will later be replanted at the same location.

TAP Begins Construction of Access Roads and Bridges in Albania

TAP announced the start of construction and rehabilitation work on access roads and bridges along the pipeline’s route in Albania. The occasion was marked by an inauguration ceremony near the town of Çorovoda, attended by the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, Minister of Energy and Industry Damian Gjiknuri, and TAP Managing Director Ian Bradshaw.

Trans Adriatic Pipeline Launches Market Test

TAP launched a market test to allow natural gas shippers to express interest, and in a later phase, secure access to new, long-term capacity in TAP, thereby enabling the future expansion of the pipeline capacity. The market test will be conducted in two main phases: a non-binding phase, starting on 1 July 2019, followed by a binding phase, expected to start earliest in the second quarter of 2020.
