TAP Awards Turbo Compressors Contract to Siemens
TAP has awarded the contract for the supply of six gas turbine turbo compressor units to Siemens AG. Half of these items will be installed in TAP’s compressor station near Kipoi, in Greece, and the remaining half at TAP’s compressor station near Fier, in Albania.

The European Commission has awarded the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project the final payment of a grant it applied for in 2005. This is the second time the TAP project has received payment of a grant from the European Union, following the successful submission of a number of studies. TAP Donates 1,000 Cypress Trees to Plant in Tirana
On 7 March 2018, TAP donated 1,000 cypress trees to the Municipality of Tirana to be planted in the capital’s Artificial Lake Park. The initiative aims to increase urban green space as well as enhance the quality of life of people living in the capital. This is the largest number of cypress trees that a company has ever donated to the Tirana city.
TAP Awards Contract to Salzgitter Mannesmann International for Onshore Line Pipe and Bends
TAP has awarded a contract to Salzgitter Mannesmann International GmbH for approximately 270km of the onshore 48” line pipe, as well as the bends TAP requires for both onshore (48”) and offshore (36”) use. Salzgitter Mannesmann International will provide 48” line pipes and bends for the onshore sections of TAP in Albania, Greece and Italy.

Over 25,000 Students Attended TAP’s Road Safety Seminars
Greece. The Road Safety Seminars programme, an initiative sponsored by the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP AG) since May 2016, has been successfully concluded. The seminars were delivered by 36 competent instructors and were overall attended by more than 25,000 children and teenagers and 56 educators from 142 elementary schools and 60 high-schools in 66 and 31 communities, respectively.
South Eastern Europe Gas Forum conclusions
On 27 October, the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) hosted the South Eastern Europe Gas Forum in Brussels attracting more than 80 participants from businesses, governments and the European institutions to discuss improving gas supply in the region, the market and growth opportunities.
