ESIA Albania - Amendment 2 (in English)

The Second Amendment to TAP’s ESIA in Albania describes two changes in the project compared to the 2013 status (ESIA approval and Environmental Permit issue date). The first change relates to an adjustment of the route in the Potom area, located in the central and eastern part of the pipeline (between KP 78 and KP 86.4). The second change refers to the construction of a new access road (AR 460-3). Both changes are designed to minimise impact on the environment and the community.  
 
ESIA surveys and related reports prepared by an independent environmental expert reinforce these changes are fully in compliance with Albanian environmental legislation and EBRD Performance Requirements.
 
In December 2015, the Albanian National Agency of Environment approved TAP’s ESIA Amendment 2. The date and number of the decision can be found here and the relevant TAP ESIA reports are available below.
