ESIA Albania - Amendment 4 (in English)

Due to geohazard structures in a number of onshore sections, TAP had to reroute the pipeline. In June 2017, the National Agency of Environment approved the ESIA Amendment no.4, consisting of four adjustments to the route. Three re-routes, (Tërpollar, which also includes a temporary access road and a camp, Osojë and Orizaj) are in the Skrapar area, while the Sqepur re-route is located in Ura Vajgurore.

All changes are designed to have minimum impact on the environment and the communities.

ESIA surveys and related reports for the changes in the project were prepared by an independent environmental expert and are in full compliance with the effective Albanian environmental legislation and EBRD Performance Requirements. According to the evaluation of the independent environmental expert, they do not cause additional environmental and social impact compared to the initial ESIA Report.

The number and date of the decisions of the National Agency of Environment can be found in the official website of the National Agency of Environment at http://akm.gov.al/. A copy of the ESIA Reports, and respective decisions of the Albanian National Agency of Environment can be found below.
