This project has helped me assess the work we’re doing here in a different light, and I’ve learned a lot about our next moves. This has been an extremely important experience. Together with TAP, we managed to re-think the project’s initial plans and ultimately get our port to be used by the project.

And the results have been very significant: ships came along, the likes of which had never entered the port of Alexandroupolis. In that sense, the project also served as the port’s "crash test."

The pipeline and the entire process has been a great learning curve for us, a great guide, and a tremendous experience. We are now mature and ready to take on more business. Now the bar has been raised high. We see the glass half-full rather than half-empty. I think that from now on at the port we’ll only be taking positive steps, thanks to the experience gained during this collaboration; an experience that lasted about 2½ years and from which we have nothing but fond memories.
