1,000 Trees for the City of Tirana
Environment and safety are at the heart of the TAP project. In March 2018, TAP joined the Tirana Municipality’s tree planting campaign by providing 1,000 Cypress trees for the capital’s Artificial Lake Park. The investment amounts to €50,000. The first trees were planted by TAP employees and the Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj.

The Tirana Municipality’s initiative aims to increase urban green space as well as enhance the quality of life of people living in the capital.
The 1,000 cypress trees TAP donated are the largest contribution that a company has ever provided to the Tirana city.
The cypress trees are over 2.5 meters tall and have been purchased from certified suppliers. All these trees will be planted in Tirana’s Artificial Lake Park, helping to build a green belt across the capital, the so-called “Orbital Forest”.
Mayor Veliaj saluted TAP’s investment: “TAP is a fantastic example of what it means to be a responsible corporate citizen.”
