Rebuilding the Kindergarten in Pashalli, Ura Vajgurore
In the Pashalli village in the municipality of Ura Vajgurore, more than 30 children between the ages of three and six went to kindergarten in a former military building. The facilities and hygiene of the kindergarten were poor, posing a risk the children’s health. TAP decided to rebuild this kindergarten, the only one in the area and, therefore, of great importance to the local community.
€210,000 investment
TAP’s investment included the construction of a one-floor building with an internal area of 360 m2 and an external recreational space of more than 690 m2.
The kindergarten has been built in line with the highest standards. It has new floors, external and internal plastering, high-quality tiles and carpet and new electrical and water installations. New toilets and furniture as well as a fully equipped kitchen have also been provided.
Special attention has been paid to energy efficiency and temperature control. This was achieved with external thermal insulation layers on all facades and a central heating system. In addition, fire extinguishers have also been made available.
Construction works at the kindergarten in Pashalli started in April 2018 and were commissioned in November 2018. The project created approximately 65 jobs. The kindergarten was inaugurated in December 2018 by the Minister of Tourism and Environment, Blendi Klosi, the Mayor of Ura Vajgurore, Juliana Memaj, and TAP representatives.
The joint venture comprised of Beis & and the Albanian company Pienvis Shpk carried out the works.
