TAP donates musical instruments to the "Rina Durante" Comprehensive School in Melendugno and Borgagne
As part of its Social and Environmental Investment (SEI) programme, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG has donated a set of musical instruments to the "Rina Durante" Comprehensive School of Melendugno and Borgagne to support its newly established music classes.
The donation includes a marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, glockenspiel, electric piano, and acoustic bass, providing students with essential instruments for their musical education.
On 20 March 2025, TAP's Managing Director, Luca Schieppati, formally handed over the instruments to the school's headmistress, Anna Rita Carati, in the presence of Melendugno’s mayor, Maurizio Cisternino. The event also featured a demonstration by students from the music class, who performed under the guidance of their teacher.
"TAP is proud to be part of the Melendugno community, and what better way to support its future than by investing in its young people? When the principal first shared the idea of supporting the school's new music classes, we embraced it immediately. I am confident that these instruments will not only enhance students' musical education, but also inspire new perspectives for their future," said Luca Schieppati.Anna Rita Carati highlighted the significance of TAP’s contribution, describing it as an enrichment to the school’s educational offerings. She also noted that the school is actively engaged in energy-saving initiatives, aligning with TAP’s commitment to a sustainable energy future.
