TAP Receives Special Investment Award

On 8 March 2017, TAP received the Special Investment Award, at the 5th Greek Value in Northern Greece Awards, an initiative by the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING).

Thessaloniki, Greece. On 8 March 2017, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG was presented with the Special "Investment Award", in the context of the 5th "GREEK VALUE" in Northern Greece Awards, a Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING) initiative. The event was organised by FING in collaboration with Kathimerini newspaper, to honour businesses distinguishing themselves with their operations in Northern Greece.   

The Ceremony was attended by the Deputy Minister of the Interior for Macedonia and Thrace, Maria Kollia-Tsaroucha; the Head of Central Macedonia Prefecture Apostolos Tzitzikostas; the Mayor of Thessaloniki Yiannis Boutaris; the Rector of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Professor Pericles Mitkas; and the President of theSocial Solidarity and Relief Network, Nikolaos Pentzos – among others.

TAP was represented at the event byits Community Liaison Officer for Central Macedonia, Apostolos Lemonidis. Mr. Lemonidis accepted the Investment Award, stating that it constitutes a symbol of recognition for the hard collective work and absolute focus on behalf of everyone working for the implementation of the pipeline. He also referred to TAP’s legacy and multifaceted benefits to Greece.

On his part, FING’s PresidentAthanasios Savvakis noted that the purpose of the Awards Ceremony is to honour healthy businesses excelling in their performance despite conditions; and to demonstrate that industry is still strong in Northern Greece.
