TAP sponsored the Blu Festival in Melendugno, Italy

The municipality of Melendugno has long been hosting a vibrant summer events season, aimed at revitalising its stunning coastal areas and providing residents, holidaymakers, and visitors with enjoyable opportunities for leisure and entertainment. This year, TAP sponsored the Blu Festival, helping to expand an already ambitious and diverse programme, while ensuring the event was arranged with safety as a priority.

The festival offered a wide range of events, spanning music, art, theatre, cultural activities, and entertainment for children, providing a rich programme of activities from June to September.

Among the many highlights were theatre performances featuring Luca Ward, Peppe Servillo, and Javier Girotto in the Renaissance village of Roca Nuova, as well as discussions with prominent figures from Italian culture, led by Daniele Rielli, in the archaeological area of Roca Vecchia. The line-up also included concerts and musical events, such as a stop on the "Notte della Taranta" Festival at Torre Sant’Andrea, and a highly attended lecture by psychologist Umberto Galimberti in Pertini Square, Melendugno. Additionally, there were activities specifically for children and a two-day event dedicated to local honey producers from Melendugno and Borgagne.

The festival was yet another testament to Melendugno’s status as one of the most vibrant summer destinations in Salento, showcasing its ability to attract a diverse audience with its exceptional cultural and recreational offerings. TAP’s partnership played a key role in the success of this initiative.
