TAP confirms pipeline route extention in Greece

Further to the Financial Times article published on 8 August 2011, TAP confirms it has extended the pipeline route by 300 km from Thessaloniki to Komotini in Greece.

Further to the Financial Times article published on 8 August 2011, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline can confirm that it has extended its route from Thessaloniki in Greece by 300km and will now connect to the Turkish Greek Interconnector in Komotini.

TAP’s extension will provide a significant foreign direct investment into Greece (approx Euros 1.5bn) and the creation of around 2,000 jobs, as TAP seeks to build the missing link in a new route that will transport gas from the Caspian across the Southern Gas corridor, into Europe.
