TAP supports Albania’s Special Olympics delegation in the Turin World Winter Games
March 2025 – As part of its Social and Environmental Investment (SEI) programme, the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) AG supported the Albanian delegation in the Special Olympics World Winter Games in Turin 2025.
This year’s Special Olympics was a historic milestone for Albania, as it was the first time a team of athletes represented the country at the Games. The six athletes (three girls and three boys) competed in three disciplines: snowshoeing, alpine skiing, and cross-country skiing.
The team’s success was remarkable, bringing home eight medals—including five gold, one silver, and two bronze.

Held in Turin, Italy, from March 8-15, 2025, the Special Olympics World Winter Games brought together 1,500 athletes from approximately 100 countries competing across eight sports in a global celebration of inclusion, acceptance, and unity.
