TAP Awards Three Pipeline Equipment Contracts | Two Italian Companies Selected as the Successful Tenderers

TAP has awarded three contracts for the engineering, manufacturing and delivery of 48” and 36” fittings, isolating joints and scraper traps. This equipment will perform various key functions, and will be installed along the TAP route, in line with the project technical specification.

TAP Awards Contract to Salzgitter Mannesmann International for Onshore Line Pipe and Bends

TAP has awarded a contract to Salzgitter Mannesmann International GmbH for approximately 270km of the onshore 48” line pipe, as well as the bends TAP requires for both onshore (48”) and offshore (36”) use. Salzgitter Mannesmann International will provide 48” line pipes and bends for the onshore sections of TAP in Albania, Greece and Italy.

Snam S.p.A. to join TAP shareholding, acquiring 20% stake in the project from Statoil

TAP is pleased to announce that Snam S.p.A. (Snam) will shortly join TAP’s shareholding by acquiring a 20% stake in the project from Statoil. The transaction is expected to close by end 2015. Following closing, TAP’s shareholding will be comprised of BP (20%), SOCAR (20%), Snam S.p.A. (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).

TAP receives Independent Natural Gas System (INGS) license from Greek Regulatory Authority (RAE)

Athens, Greece. Greece’s Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) has granted Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) a license for an Independent Natural Gas System (INGS). Albanian Parliament ratifies Intergovernmental Agreement on the Trans Adriatic Pipeline

On March 25, 2013 the Albanian Parliament unanimously ratified the Intergovernmental Agreement (IGA) between Albania, Italy and Greece on the construction and operation of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project.
