TAP and Croatia gas pipeline operator Plinacro sign South East Europe MOUC
The Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG and Plinacro Ltd., a natural gas transmission system operator in Croatia, announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding and Cooperation (MOUC) aimed at encouraging the development of natural gas markets in South East Europe (SEE).
TAP Celebrates 1st year of Construction
Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary since construction started on TAP, one of Europe’s largest and most strategic natural gas infrastructure projects. Activity in each of the three host countries is on time, on track and on budget. TAP’s contractors cleared approx. 49% of the project route in Greece and Albania (371km out of 765km). Also, 22.6% of welded steel pipes are already in the ground.
TAP Awards Contract to Salzgitter Mannesmann International for Onshore Line Pipe and Bends
TAP has awarded a contract to Salzgitter Mannesmann International GmbH for approximately 270km of the onshore 48” line pipe, as well as the bends TAP requires for both onshore (48”) and offshore (36”) use. Salzgitter Mannesmann International will provide 48” line pipes and bends for the onshore sections of TAP in Albania, Greece and Italy.

TAP issues Invitations to Tender for its onshore pipeline contract
Trans Adriatic Pipeline AG (TAP) has issued the first major Invitation to Tender (ITT) for the construction of the onshore section of the pipeline. This is an Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) contract, which may be split into further contracts, depending on the offering bids.

In September 2017, TAP supported the organisation of the fourth edition of the “KoKo Fest” comedy festival in Korça, Albania. Seven comedy plays were put on stage for the public.
TAP Awards Offshore Construction Contract to Saipem SpA
TAP has awarded to Saipem SpA the contract for Engineering, Pro-curement, Construction and Installation (EPCI) for the offshore section of the project. TAP’s 36-inch offshore pipeline across the Adriatic Sea – between the coastlines of Albania and southern Italy – will be approximately 105 km in length, down to approximately 820 meters below sea level at the deepest.
AVIS and TAP organise Road Safety Conference in Tirana
AVIS with the support of TAP, organised the first “Benchmarking Al-bania - Towards EU Road Safety” conference. "Driving safety is an important issue to every single person but it is particularly important to a pipeline project due to huge distances involved. So far we have driven over 6.7 million kilometres" emphasised TAP project Director Norman Ingram.
TAP secures environmental permit for Albania
The Trans Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) has today announced that the Environmental Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) in Albania has been approved by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Water Administration. The Environmental Permit has been published by the National Licensing Centre.
