TAR Court accepts TAP appeal on geo-physical surveys in San Foca
The Regional Administrative Court for Puglia, first section in Lecce, approved the appeal presented by TAP against the decision by the Technical Office of Melendugno Municipality on the denial, dated 18/09/2012 and the related confirmation by the City Council on November 27 , 2012 and February 29 2012 n.5) of the permit to make geo-physical surveys in the area of San Foca.
Assistance during Harsh Winter
In light of the harsh 2016/2017 winter, TAP assisted approximately 1,300 families from 100 villages along the pipeline route and beyond. The initiative was implemented in collaboration with the Red Cross in Albania as well as the local authorities.
Equipment to Fight Wildfires
TAP delivered 600 backpack fire extinguishers and 100 fire-retardant uniforms to the Albanian authorities. This equipment enables firefighters to be more efficient when fighting wildfires, as well as reduce the risks of heat exposure. Emergency services across Albania received this equipment in August and September 2017.

DESTINATION, SAFETY - Utility Vehicles for Northern Greece
In June 2017, TAP Greece launched a €14 million Social and Environmental Investment project*, pertaining to the donation of 104 utility vehicles – including ambulances, multi-purpose vehicles and garbage trucks. The investment benefits local communities across all three Northern Greek regions traversed by the pipeline: Western Macedonia, Central Macedonia and Eastern Macedonia-Thrace.
The Adriatic and Ionian Initiative Council signs a Declaration in support of TAP

Snam S.p.A. to join TAP shareholding, acquiring 20% stake in the project from Statoil
TAP is pleased to announce that Snam S.p.A. (Snam) will shortly join TAP’s shareholding by acquiring a 20% stake in the project from Statoil. The transaction is expected to close by end 2015. Following closing, TAP’s shareholding will be comprised of BP (20%), SOCAR (20%), Snam S.p.A. (20%), Fluxys (19%), Enagás (16%) and Axpo (5%).

TAP Awards Turbo Compressors Contract to Siemens
TAP has awarded the contract for the supply of six gas turbine turbo compressor units to Siemens AG. Half of these items will be installed in TAP’s compressor station near Kipoi, in Greece, and the remaining half at TAP’s compressor station near Fier, in Albania.

As per the recent articles published by newspapers today, TAP wants to point out that the area which will host the Pipeline Receiving Terminal, based on the new project that will be included in the documents for the EIA with the deadline of September, is less than 12 hectares and the area in which the building of the PRT will stay is 3500 square meters, that is a lot less in size, than 1 hectare.
