Trans Adriatic Pipeline finalises offshore survey earlier than planned
TAP would like to inform the local community in Italy that the first phase of the offshore survey in the Adriatic Sea (begun in December 2012), has been completed. “Geosund” the vessel that has been conducting this first survey over the last 4 weeks, will leave Italian waters on Monday 11 February 2013.
Over 87% of Trans Adriatic Pipeline Complete Three Years after Construction Start
Today marks the three year anniversary since the start of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline construction. To date, 98% of pipes are laid in the ground across Greece, Albania and Italy. Additionally, over 93% of the land along TAP’s route in Greece, Albania and Italy has been reinstated.

Rehabilitation of the Thanas Ikonomi School in Grecalli, Fier
The “Thanas Ikonomi” school is located in the Grecalli village, the Municipality of Fier. Built in 1975, the school has been gradually deteriorating to the point that some of the students stopped attending it due to safety concerns. TAP decided to rehabilitate all interior and exterior school facilities. More than 210 students now study in much better conditions.

TAP Celebrates 1st year of Construction
Tomorrow marks the one-year anniversary since construction started on TAP, one of Europe’s largest and most strategic natural gas infrastructure projects. Activity in each of the three host countries is on time, on track and on budget. TAP’s contractors cleared approx. 49% of the project route in Greece and Albania (371km out of 765km). Also, 22.6% of welded steel pipes are already in the ground.

DESTINATION, SAFETY - Utility Vehicles for Northern Greece
In June 2017, TAP Greece launched a €14 million Social and Environmental Investment project*, pertaining to the donation of 104 utility vehicles – including ambulances, multi-purpose vehicles and garbage trucks. The investment benefits local communities across all three Northern Greek regions traversed by the pipeline: Western Macedonia, Central Macedonia and Eastern Macedonia-Thrace.

Pipeline construction
The construction of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline involved meticulous planning, the highest safety standards, world-class engineering and a commitment to protecting the environment and communities living near the pipeline. TAP is 877 kilometres in length: 772 kilometres onshore and 105 kilometres offshore.
